1. Acceptance

Agreeing to these terms

By creating a My Account membership, making a payment or donation, or otherwise using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not register or use the site.

2. Eligibility

Membership is open to individuals aged 18 or older who support the movement's values of accountability, inclusion and practical service, whether Kenyan citizens or members of the diaspora. You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.

3. Membership

My Account membership itself is free. Every registered member is a Community Member by default. Members may optionally choose an annual support level to make a recurring voluntary contribution beyond the free tier; doing so is never required to remain a member in good standing.

Members are expected to represent the movement's values (accountability, inclusion and practical service) in their conduct, both online and in chapter activities, and to refrain from hate speech, tribal or ethnic mobilization, harassment, or incitement, consistent with the movement's founding purpose of moving public discourse away from political noise and toward solutions.

4. Digital membership ID and certificates

Verified members may unlock a downloadable digital ID and, where applicable, a membership certificate, each bearing a unique member number and a QR code that links to a public verification page. These are issued only to the registered member they belong to, are derived from your verified account (not from information you type into a form), and remain the property of Leadership Sio Kelele. Forging, altering, sharing or misrepresenting a membership record or digital ID is a violation of these terms and may result in suspension or termination of your account.

5. Payments and donations

A one-time contribution (currently KSh 50) unlocks downloadable copies of your digital ID and certificate; optional annual support-level contributions and one-off donations are voluntary. Payments are processed by our payment partner, PayHero, over M-Pesa or card; a payment is only treated as complete once confirmed by the payment provider or, for other methods, by an administrator. Payments and donations are non-refundable except where required by Kenyan law.

6. Account security

You are responsible for keeping your password and, if enabled, your two-factor authentication method confidential, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at info@leadsioskelele.or.ke if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. You can end all active sessions at any time from My Account → Settings.

7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate a membership that violates these terms (including forged or misused digital IDs, fraudulent payments, abuse of public forms, or conduct inconsistent with the movement's Code of Conduct) with or without notice depending on severity. You may delete your own account at any time from My Account → Settings; this permanently removes your membership record.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to: impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with the movement; submit false information on registration, contact, coordinator or survey forms; attempt to bypass payment verification; use automated tools to scrape, spam or overload the site or its public forms; or attempt to access another member's account or data.

9. Content you submit

Messages, coordinator applications and survey responses you submit through this site may be used internally by Leadership Sio Kelele for movement coordination, chapter management and reporting. Do not submit confidential or sensitive information you do not wish the movement to act on.

10. Intellectual property

The Leadership Sio Kelele name, emblem, movement branding, and the content of this website (excluding content you submit) are the property of Leadership Sio Kelele or its licensors. You may not reproduce or use them to imply endorsement without our written permission.

11. Third-party services

Payments, SMS delivery and email delivery are handled by third-party providers (currently PayHero, Africa's Talking, and our configured email provider). Your use of those specific functions is also subject to those providers' own terms where applicable to the payment or message itself.

12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The website and My Account portal are provided "as is." While we take reasonable steps to keep the platform secure and available, Leadership Sio Kelele is not liable for losses arising from service interruptions, third-party payment or delivery failures, or unauthorized access resulting from your own failure to safeguard your credentials, to the fullest extent permitted by Kenyan law.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the movement and its platform grow. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of My Account after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the site will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya.
